Established in 1967, Calcutta was Berlin's, if not Germany's, first Indian restaurant. Back at that time, the restaurant maintained a growing popularity among British forces and the British ambassador. The dishes are known for their strong flavors, particularly the spiciness usually found in Indian food. The contents of their selection includes soft baked Naan and chapatti breads, a variety of vegetarian dishes, and their famous and deliciously tender Tandoori chicken. Guests will also be accommodated with fresh rice and cardomon tea. Calcutta is definitely a restaurant that does not disappoint.
